Westside Update from Springfield, IL 1/22/03 - 10:50 PM Well, I've been here for almost two weeks now and things couldn't be going better. I am staying with a great family a few miles north of Springfield. Their names are William and Cherrilyn. They have two kids named Celynn and Charles who are in elementary school. They have been really great to me. I am staying in their basement where I have everything I could need. I am working mainly with the two student ministers at Westside, Chris Steele and Evan Osgood. Chris oversees all of the Student Ministry but his focus is on High School and Jr. High. Evan was actually an intern last year but now he works with the High School and College ministries. I actually began work on January 6th but I didn't start in the office until the 13th because we went down to Joplin to the National Youth Leaders Convention. It was a great time and it gave me a chance to get to know Chris, Evan and several of the other people who work a lot with the Student Ministry. Well it is getting pretty late and I've got lots of things ahead of me tomorrow. I will try to write again soon. Thanks for your prayers.
